The artists of CREATIVITY IN CHAOS possess a marvelous diversity of viewpoints and theories of change in a world where the center, for now and the foreseeable future, seemingly cannot hold. What all share across 78 revealing, challenging and often inspiring works is their choice of visual art-making as a mode of expression. Employing a wide array of media, our artists speak to the state of our world, often in quite personal terms, and it is this communication—at turns, eloquent, innovative, passionate, lyrical and even cynical—that captured the attention of our jury.
