My work is rooted in a deep love of queerness and a persistent fascination with the blurring of boundaries.
Through painting, I create soft, undulating worlds that surprise and seduce, leading viewers to dimly lit, concealed places. Some pieces are autobiographical. Some are a fantasy. All celebrate the pleasure and possibility of living a queer life.
Through my work, I aim to amplify marginalized voices, documenting a spectrum of experience that complicates narratives about queer and trans individuals. I draw from historical and mythological accounts of queer gender identity, my peers’ experience, and my own experiments with gender to form a practice that delights the eye and challenges the mind.
