I find the subjects for my paintings and linoprints in old, discarded snapshots of anonymous strangers.
I am drawn to photographs in which I sense something beneath the surface. As I develop my compositions, I make alterations to the image to bring that something into focus. I try to remain close to the essence of the original image while transforming it into something with new meaning and relevance.
